The two questions that we are being asked the most are, "What are the classes?" and "How are you going to judge the cars?'" Below is an explanation of the show classes and the way the judging will take place. Due to past inequities in the judging by participants, this year we will have the classes judged by a trained judging panel. This will ensure consistent judging across the classes. In order to receive a dash plaque, the participants must return their people's choice ballot to the registration booth. See the FAQ for more on judging. Click here

There are basicically two Classes in each category of entry. The entry categories are grouped by model year with special categories for truck, corvette, mustang, high performance, Under Construction, Muscle car.
The classes are:- Stock
- Modified
-
Cars are classified as they arrive by club personnel and the car owner according to guidlines shown below. A car may fit in multiple categories in which case the owner is asked to choose. For instance a 1967 camaro may be classified as 1961-1979 Modified or 1967-1979 Camaro/Firebird.

Judging is to be done by trained judging personnel. Classic Chevy Reno club members do not take part in the judging other than assigning the cars to be judged to a the judging panel. Club member cars are judged separately and do not compete with the other entrants

In addition to the classes we award several "Best of" trophies such as best paint, best engine, etc. We also award a best of show trophy. Judging for these trophies will be done this year by persons not associated with the show or the club. They will be selected by selected judges.
